Oregon Department of Education
In 2006, we entered into a partnership with the Oregon Department of Education on ECMC Scholars Program, Oregon.
Also, ECMC Foundation was the title sponsor of the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Closing the Achievement Gap Conference, a training and public recognition event for education professionals, community leaders, and parents to share best practices and strategies to increase scholastic achievement for all Oregon students, and to narrow, and eventually end, the gap for low-performing students.
Oregon Student Assistance Commission (OSAC)
ECMC Foundation brought a team of trainers to the 2005 ASPIRE (Access to Student Assistance Programs in Reach of Everyone) annual conference in Salem, Oregon. These trainers performed an intensive, full-day interactive session for Oregon educators on the "Realizing the College Dream" college access curriculum. Follow this link to download the RTCD Curriculum Guide. Administered by OSAC, ASPIRE prepares adult volunteers to help Oregon high school students access education beyond high school. Attendees included teachers and counselors from Oregon area high schools and participants from programs, including Americorps, Educational Talent Search, GEAR-UP and Independent Living Project.
State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV)
SCHEV has used the "Realizing the College Dream" curriculum in its 8,000-student Access Virginia GEAR-UP Program.
