TheCollegePlace was established in 2003 to help the community meet its educational needs. It is one of several ECMC Foundation initiatives designed to help underserved and disadvantaged students further their educational goals and is free of charge to users.

Sponsored by ECMC Foundation, TheCollegePlace makes higher education and financial aid information available to all through its comprehensive Web site, www.ecmcfoundation.org/thecollegeplace. TheCollegePlace also operates three free college access centers, providing students and their families with comprehensive higher education and financial aid information through services and programs such as workshops, community events, Internet access, a resource library, and one-on-one counseling with advisors.
