Rosario Torres oversees the strategy for a portfolio of grants committed to improving postsecondary career and technical education outcomes for students from underserved backgrounds. Prior to ECMC Foundation, Rosario was a research analyst with MDRC’s postsecondary policy team, where she provided technical assistance and conducted qualitative research related to college access and success. Rosario has more than eight years of direct service in both K-12 and higher education experience. She brings a myriad of experience in program and grant management. As a former financial aid and college admissions counselor, she’s committed to helping students from first-generation and low-income backgrounds access and graduate from college.
Rosario received her BA in English education and Chicana/o Latina/o studies from California State University, Long Beach and her MA in higher education administration from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Rosario is a proud first-generation college graduate.
