Dear ECMC Foundation community,

When we first launched our North Star, we talked about Maria as an example of one of the many young students starting their educational journeys that would, in 2040, successfully complete their postsecondary education and have greater opportunity for social and economic mobility. Over those years, we expected there to be change, for students and their families, and for educational systems. We could not have predicted the context that higher education now finds itself in and how it might impact a young student’s path to success. As a Foundation, we are committed to ensuring the access and support of underserved, and all, learners, to get to and through postsecondary education so that they can become leaders and contributing members of society.

Together, we will continue to create better systems of postsecondary education to meet the needs of all students. My desire for you, as part of our community of common cause, is to understand how the Foundation is navigating through change with meaning, purpose, and focus. The content below reflects how we intend to lead through change.
