ECMC Group, Affiliates and Initiatives
Parent company ECMC Group and its affiliates — ECMC Foundation, ECMC and Zenith Education Group — provide financial tools and services, nonprofit career education, and funding for innovative programs to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.
Established in 1994, Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) is a nonprofit company that provides support for the administration of the Federal Family Education Loan Program as a student loan guaranty agency. In its guarantor role, ECMC provides financial education to empower students to make informed choices about their futures. ECMC also oversees student loan repayments to ensure taxpayer funds are replenished so future generations of students have access to federal education funding. For postsecondary institutions, ECMC offers Solutions—a suite of services that includes financial literacy, student loan repayment counseling and default prevention. This line of business is a natural adjacency to its role as a guaranty agency as it expands ECMC’s reach to help student loan borrowers successfully meet their student loan obligations.
Zenith Education Group
Zenith Education Group (Zenith) is an affiliate of ECMC Group and a nonprofit CTE provider. Above all, Zenith is driven to promote the long-term success of its graduates. Funding from the Foundation supports the testing, adopting and sharing of new approaches to add new programs in high-demand industries, design quality curriculum, modernize program delivery with new technologies and build simulated learning environments to match real-world experience.
The GO! Program is designed to involve employees across all ECMC Group affiliates in recognizing organizations that align with the Foundation's mission. All employees have the opportunity to nominate organizations they care about in their local communities and vote on which will receive grant funding.
This initiative is jointly run by ECMC Foundation and ECMC Group’s Community Outreach teams in an effort to give back to the communities—Atlanta, GA; Bissonnet, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Mather, CA; Minneapolis, MN; and Tampa, FL—where ECMC Group and its affiliates have offices. Organizations receiving funding as part of the GO! Program must be nominated by an employee; unsolicited requests for GO! Program grant funding are not accepted.
Since the GO! Program first launched in 2015, 212 grants totaling $4.95 million have been awarded to the communities where ECMC Group employees live and work.
