Megan Wery

Senior Associate, Education Innovation Ventures

Megan supports the Education Innovation Ventures program with her experience in impact measurement, early stage impact investing and sustainability reporting. Prior to joining ECMC Foundation, Megan was a Senior Associate at Amplify Capital, an impact fund investing in early stage companies focused on education, health and climate technologies. She worked closely with entrepreneurs to strategize how social and environmental impact could scale alongside financial returns. Megan’s passion for sustainability began with her upbringing in Hawai’i, and led her to an early career in civil engineering focused on sustainable infrastructure and strategic planning. Today, she’s become passionate about sustainable business strategies that drive equal access to education and workforce entry, celebrate cultural diversity and help to sustain environmental resources. Megan holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Loyola Marymount University and a master of science in sustainability management from the University of Toronto.
