As the Director of Communications, Michelle Santiago drives strategic communications that promote the mission of ECMC Foundation and elevates visibility of the work of the Foundation and its grantee partners.

Michelle has over 20 years of experience in communications roles at organizations committed to educational initiatives. She brings experience in strategic communications campaigns, web development, social media, and analysis and reporting. Michelle has also served in public schools as a high school teacher and a university instructor.

Michelle grew up as a military dependent. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from James Madison University and a Master of Education from the University of Virginia.
