The CTE Leadership Collaborative Convening

The 2023 CTE Leadership Collaborative Convening will take place Monday, September 18–Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Hilton Denver City Center in Denver, CO.

The annual invitation-only event brings together hundreds of people interested in advancing postsecondary CTE and improving the success of learners, faculty members and administrators. Content is curated in direct response to attendees' areas of focus. The CTE LC Convening is an important opportunity for ECMC Foundation Fellows because it:

  • Fosters connection across different CTE LC fellowships and cohorts and among ECMC Foundation Fellows. The CTE LC intentionally developed fellowships across various demographics within postsecondary CTE, and the convening provides a venue for necessary cross-segmental collaboration and breaking down of persistent siloes between education, workforce, research and media.
  • Addresses pressing issues facing the field. As an example, our 2022 breakout sessions with leading content experts covered Low Return v. High Return Pathways, New Skills Ecosystems, Cutting Edge Apprenticeships and more from leaders at the forefronts of these reforms.
  • Offers strategic leadership and networking opportunities. Workshops that train attendees on grant writing, leading team operations for systemic change, publishing opinion pieces and having action oriented conversations about poor student outcomes are designed to create additional professional opportunities and elevate your leadership profile in your respective sectors.
  • Facilitates FUN! We do not meet in some of the world’s most entertaining cities just to stay in a conference room for three days! Our agendas include live music, local cuisine, outings and more.
